John Nelson Bush, 81, Roaring Spring, formerly of rural Martinsburg, went home to be with his Lord Monday morning, August 17, 2020, at The Village of Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg.

He was born in rural Martinsburg, son of the late Charles Edward and Ruth Elizabeth (Albertson) Bush.  On September 9, 1967, he married Louise Robison at Clover Creek Church of the Brethren, rural Martinsburg.

Surviving are his beloved wife of almost 53 years; and several nieces and nephews that he dearly loved.

He was preceded in death by three sisters: infant, F. Louise Bush, Miriam A. “Mimi” Mellott and Thelma B. Law; and a brother, David C. Bush.

John was a 1957 graduate of Morrisons Cove High School, Martinsburg where he was a member of the FFA. He retired as a truck driver from J.H. Russell, East Freedom, and also had driven for Agway Petroleum, Martinsburg.

He was a lifetime member of Mount Pleasant United Church of Christ, rural Martinsburg, where served faithfully in many ministries.  John loved spending time with family and also enjoyed camping, collecting model trains and singing.

Friends will be received from 6-8pm, Wednesday, August 19, 2020, at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.  A funeral service will be held at 11am, Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Mt. Pleasant UCC, rural Martinsburg, Pastor Kenneth G. Downs officiating.  Interment will be held at Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery.
