JOHN D. STATES Jr. 68 of New Enterprise, died 04/05/2014 at UPMC Altoona. Born 11/22/1945 in Altoona the son of John D. and Helen (Stehel) States. Married Carolyn L. (Pepple) on 03/20/1966 in Everett. He had been employed at States Garage, at Woodbury, Cove Auto Supply, Smith Transport and Retired from Millers Auto Parts. He had enjoyed coaching Little League, had been a Cub Scout Leader and helped at the Southern Cove Volunteer Fire Dept.
Survived by his wife, three daughters Emily States of Duncansville, Jennifer Keyser and husband Randy of New Enterprise, Betsey States of New Enterprise one son John d. the 3rd also of new Enterprise, Two brothers Dave States of Woodbury and Jared of Elizabeth Town his Mother Helen and Mother in law Berniece Pepple three grandchildren Megan, Elliott and Gretchen.
Friends received 5-8 PM Wed the 9th at the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home and 10-11 am Thursday the 10th at the Woodbury Church of the Brethren were at 11am they will have a celebration of life service. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials maybe made to the charity of there choice. Arrangements by the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home, Woodbury
