John Roger Hislop Sr.

John Roger Hislop Sr., of Hermitage, PA, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Hollidaysburg Veterans' Home in Pennsylvania.
Born May 6, 1944, in Pensacola, FL, he was the son of the late Herbert and Ethen (Green) Hislop.
John was a 1963 graduate of Holton High School in Holton, MI. He served in the United States Army and later served in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam War veteran.
John possessed a delightful sense of humor and had the remarkable ability to elevate any situation. His passion for motorcycles, combined with his experiences as a professional Hillclimber, played a significant role in shaping his vibrant life.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Judi Uzmack Hislop; three children: Patricia (Kevin) Balcom, Lori (Richard) Kassuba, and John (Ann) Hislop Jr.; two stepdaughters: Kim Graham and Karey Westwood; his grandchildren; great-grandchildren; two brothers: William and Robert Hislop; and two sisters: Madelyn Eling and Marilyn Wildfong. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Marcella Mitchell, and Mary Ann Ham.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of John's memory. Your contributions will help support vital research and services for those affected by this disease, reflecting John's spirit of generosity and care for others. Thank you for celebrating his life in this meaningful way.
