John D. Ott

John D. Ott, 60, of New Enterprise, passed away on December 3, 2015 at Altoona UPMC. Born on March 27, 1955 in Roaring Spring, the son of John A. and Carrie (Snider) Ott. On May 26, 1995 in Winchester, Virginia he married Judith L. Irvin. John retired as a Plant Manager from New Enterprise Stone and Lime after 34 years.  He also served 20 years as a Forest Fire Warden. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snow mobiles, motorcycles, and anything involving the outdoors or his Jack Russell’s. John was a member of the Martinsburg Mennonite Church, Bavarian Hall, Heidelberg, and was a life-time member of the NRA. He is survived by his wife Judith, four daughters, a sister Shirley Donaldson, and eight grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 9:00AM to 11:00AM at the Funeral Home.  At 11:00AM a service will take place with Pastor Joe Furry officiating. Interment will be at the New Enterprise Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made the Martinsburg Mennonite Church in memory of John’s Life.  Arrangements by the S.
