John G. Phillips

John G. Phillips, 87, of Hollidaysburg, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026 at UPMC Altoona Hospital. He was born at home on March 17, 1939 on Lock Mountain; son of the late James H. and Shirley (Burket) Phillips.

John was a Class of 1959 graduate of Morrisons Cove High School – Bean Hill. He retired from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, performing numerous duties throughout the years. John enjoyed traveling the States in his camper, especially his trip to Alaska. He was a member of the Local IBEW Union. John enjoyed gathering at Traditions Restaurant with his former school classmates and spending time at the Beech Tree Café.

John was preceded in death by twin infant sisters; and his brothers: Fred, JoAndy, James, Marl Goodling, and S. Bill Phillips. Surviving are numerous, nephews, great-nephews, and great-nieces.

At request of the deceased, no services will be held. Inurnment will be in St. Paul’s UCC Church Cemetery, Russellville.
