John R. Imler

John R. Imler, 31, of Middletown, RI, formerly of New Enterprise, PA, passed away on July 4, 2017. Born on November 28, 1985 in Bedford, PA. John graduated in 2004 from Northern Bedford High School and was currently employed by Lockheed Martin as an IT systems administrator. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving for over 9 years.  He achieved the rank of Sergeant, deployed to Afghanistan in 2012, and was honorably discharged in February 2017. Service Awards include:  2 Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, 3 Good Conduct Medals, and multiple other types of recognition throughout his career. On September 2, 2009, he was united in marriage with Whitney Nichole Conner in Yuma, Arizona. John thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and working on classic and muscle cars. He loved tinkering in the garage on anything, especially a Chevrolet Camaro. Survived by his wife Whitney, children: Abygail and Daniel; parents Daniel & Amy Imler of New Enterprise, PA.  Angela & Huie Bowles of Jacksonville, FL; siblings Traci Davis of Jacksonville, FL, Caylin Bowles of Jacksonville, FL and Dani May Imler of New Enterprise, PA; grandparents Daniel R. Imler Sr. of Waterside, PA, Bill & Sandy Reyan of Everett, PA, and Jack & Barbara Brownawell of Bedford, PA; He was preceded in death by grandmother Charolette (Dolly) Imler of Waterside, PA and Bill Reasy of New Enterprise, PA. Friends will be received on Monday, July 10, 2017 from 4:00PM-8:00PM and Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the Woodbury Church of the Brethren. At 11:00AM Tuesday, a Funeral Service will take place with Reverend Larry Graybill officiating at the Woodbury Church of the Brethren. Interment will be at Dry Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Weaver Funeral Home, LLC; Woodbury.
