John R. “Jack” Itinger, 72, Sportsman Road, Huston Township, formerly of Tyrone, passed away early Monday morning, at his residence.

He was born in Alexandria, the son of Mary (Franchio) Itinger, who resides at his home and the late Ross “Wiggs” Itinger, who died in 1990.

Surviving are 3 sisters: Liz (Itinger) Heidel Henney of Huntingdon, Midge (Itinger) Gaumer of Petersburg and Susan (Itinger) Pardoe of Flinton; and many nieces and nephews.

Jack attended and graduated high school in Freehold, NJ and retired as a conductor from the Pennsylvania Railroad.  Since his retirement he had worked several security jobs, including, Westvaco Envelope Plant, Williamsburg, Warnaco Distribution Center, Huntingdon, and Cove Forge Behavioral Systems in both Williamsburg and Huntingdon.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed spending time in his yard watching the birds.

There will be no public services and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg.
