John G. Stump, 82, of Roaring Spring, went home to be with his Lord, Sunday evening, October 20, 2024 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.

He was born in Roaring Spring, son of the late Charles A. Jr. and Anna L. (Poorbaugh) Stump.

Surviving are five nieces: Karen Price, Kris Price (Tom Dickey), Kim Price, Karole Moore (Derin) and Kay Lynn Shriver (Dave); three great-nieces; three great-nephews; and two great-great nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte L. Price; and a brother-in-law, Fred C. Price.

John was a 1959 graduate of Roaring Spring High School and also attended the University of Pennsylvania.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a faithful member of Christ Church, Roaring Spring.

John loved reading his bible, serving his Lord and also enjoyed running and biking.

Friends will be received from 1-2pm, Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Christ Church, Roaring Spring, where a funeral service will begin at 2pm, Pastor Joel Kletzing officiating.  Private interment will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery, Roaring Spring.

Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.
