Jon William Keim 90, of Martinsburg, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at his residence.  He was born in Martinsburg a son of the late William and Martha (Kauffman) Keim.  On June 30, 1955 at the Memorial Church of the Brethren he married Phyllis I. (Freidenbloom) Keim, his wife of 68 years, who preceded him in death on April 20, 2024.

He is survived by two children: Eric Keim (Candy) and Lisa Smith (Kevin), both of Martinsburg; three grandchildren: Jarred Smith (Daura), Erica Welch (Coty) and CJ Croumie, two great-grandchildren: Milo and Saylor Welch; and special friend Ron Bice.  He was preceded in death by his brothers Leroy N. Keim and wife Joyce, and Carl A. Keim and wife Janet.

Jon was a US Navy Veteran, serving with the reserves for 8 years, and was a member of DESA (Destroyer Escort Sailors Association).  He and Phyllis owned and operated Keim’s Custom Interior in Martinsburg from 1966 until 1996. Throughout his life he was a avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Jon was a long-time member of Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church.  He was also a member of Martinsburg Booster Association, Martinsburg Sportsman’s Club, and the Maranatha Quartet as Bass Singer.  Jon was a dedicated volunteer of the Martinsburg Volunteer Fire Company for over 70 years, and was the Fire Chief for 17 years.  He was instrumental in helping get the ambulance station constructed in town for the Hollidaysburg Ambulance.

Friends will be received from 5 to 8 pm, Monday, August 18, 2025 at the Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church, and Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from 10 to 11 am where a funeral service will begin at 11:00 am, with Pastor Brian McCall officiating. Burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Jon can be given to the Martinsburg Vol. Fire Co, 205 S. Market Street, Martinsburg, PA 16662; or Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church, 300 S. Mulberry St., Martinsburg, PA 16662.  Arrangements by the Fink & Stone Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Martinsburg.
