Joseph William Musser, 91, Williamsburg, passed away early Monday morning at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home.

He was born in Williamsburg, son of the late John A. and M. Edith (Snare) Musser.  He married Irene M. Taylor on May 18, 1946 in Greenwood.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 69 years; 2 daughters: Ginger A. Michelone (Ted) of Williamsburg, and Joy A. Hoover (Jeff) of Curryville; a son, Randy B. (Lea) of Williamsburg; 6 grandchildren: Adam Michelone, Andy Hoover, Kristy Myers, Jennifer Norris, Jessica Sprowls, and Nicole Allison; 7 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 2 grandsons: Josiah Musser and Jason Michelone; a sister, Sylvia Detwiler; and a brother, John.

Joseph was a founding member of Williamsburg Independent Bible Baptist Church, rural Williamsburg, where he served as a deacon and treasurer.

He retired from J.R. Miller Well Drilling, Williamsburg and had previously been employed for WestVaco, Williamsburg for many years.

Joseph was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II serving in the 84th infantry division in Germany where he fought in the Battle of the Bulge.

He loved spending time with his family and also enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Friends will be received from 5-8pm, Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg.  A funeral service will be held at 11 am, Friday, November 27, 2015 at Williamsburg Independent Bible Baptist Church, rural Williamsburg, Pastor Joseph D. Weber officiating.  Interment with full military honors will be held at Sparr Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.

The family prefers memorial contributions be given to his church.
