Joseph E. Snively, Sr.

Joseph E. Snively, Sr., 71, of Williamsburg, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at his home. He was born on May 16, 1955 in Roaring Spring; son of the late Robert B. and Jennie E. (Swaney) Snively. On April 8, 1973 in Queen, he was united in marriage to Shirley F. (Simington) Snively.

Joe was a Class of 1973 graduate of Central High School. He worked on the family dairy farm for many years. Joe retired after 20 years from Grannas Bros. as a cement truck driver. He enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren, pitching horseshoes, bowling, tinkering in the woods and with his tractors, kayaking, and riding motorcycle. Joe would help anyone in need at any time.

Joe was preceded in death by an infant sister, Linda Snively. Surviving are his wife, Shirley; son, Joseph E. Snively, Jr. (Robbin); daughter, Nichole L. Nash (Dustin); son, Robert G. Snively; grandchildren: Corey, Jayse (Brooke), and William; and siblings: Dave (Tammy), Audrey, Cindy (Jim), Bill (Elaine), Karen, and Wade (Deb).

Friends and family will be received on Monday, September 28, 2026 at Fink & Stone Funeral Home in Martinsburg from 4:00PM to 7:00PM and on Tuesday, from 10:00AM until the hour of service. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at 11:00AM at the Fink & Stone Funeral Home in Martinsburg with Pastor G. Edward Corcelius officiating. Interment will be in Royer Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions in Joe’s name may be made to Special Olympics of Blair County, Sowing Hope Farm, or the cancer organization of your choosing.
