Joyce M. (Fowkes) Beck

Joyce M. Beck, 93, of Martinsburg, formerly of Duncansville, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2026 at the Village at Morrisons Cove. She was born on November 3, 1932 in Duncansville; daughter of the late Lowrey I. and Grace N. (Stiffler) Fowkes. On May 8, 1953 in Duncansville, she was united in marriage to Richard E. Beck.

Joyce was a graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and an active member of the Carson Valley Church of the Brethren. She was employed as a receptionist at Rich’s Optical Center, Altoona. Joyce was a talented knitter and crocheter. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, on April 26, 1991; a granddaughter, Tessie Weibley; and a great-grandson, JT Weibley. Surviving are son, James E. Beck (Victoria) of Dubois; daughter, Kathy L. Weibley (Thomas) of Duncansville; grandchildren: Kylene Schneider (Jake) and Kristine Beck (Josh); and great-grandchildren: Khala, Kyan, Caleb, and Eli.

At request of the deceased, services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. Inurnment will be in Carson Valley Cemetery.
