Joyce M. Miller

Joyce M. Miller, 87, of Woodbury, passed away on September 29, 2024, at the Hollidaysburg Lutheran Home. She was born on January 27, 1937, in Roaring Spring, PA, daughter of the late Ken and Marguerite (Quarry) Miller. On May 27, 1955, in the Woodbury Church of the Brethren, she was united in marriage to Brice E. “Gene” Miller; who preceded her in death on September 10, 2013.

Joyce retired from First National Bank as the Woodbury Branch Manager. She enjoyed playing and teaching piano and organ and had a love for reading. She would celebrate birthdays of her children and grandchildren by calling them to play "Happy Birthday" on the piano!  Joyce and her husband Gene were active members of the Pennsylvania Lions Pin Trading Club and enjoyed traveling to conventions and meetings for many years. She was a member of the Woodbury Church of the Brethren, Cove Lions Club, Woodbury Senior Citizens, and the Order of the Eastern Star - Hollidaysburg Chapter #471.

Surviving are son, Doug Miller (Diane) of Roaring Spring; son, Ken Miller (Barbara) of Martinsburg; grandchildren, Erin (Jeremy) Miller, Devin (Alana) Miller, Blake Miller, and Vincent Miller; 2 step-grandchildren, Brenan Miller and Laina Miller; a great-grandson, Zane Miller and a great-granddaughter, Zaelynn Miller; sister, Erma Mae Snyder of Roaring Spring; 2 sisters-in-law and 2 brothers-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews; and her special cat companion, Bentley.

At request of the deceased, a Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Please check the funeral home website for information as it becomes available. Inurnment will be in Dry Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joyce’s name may be made to the Cove Lions Club or the Woodbury Church of the Brethren.
