Kathy Louise Verbonitz, 69, of Ashville, formerly of Hollidaysburg, passed away, Thursday evening, July 6, 2023 at UPMC Altoona.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Leo J. and Shirley E. (Taylor) Drass.  On August 15, 1997, she married Robert A. Verbonitz in Altoona.

Surviving are her beloved husband, Bob of 24 years; a daughter, Angela D. Curry (Bob) of Duncansville; two grandchildren: Daphne M. Curry (Colton Dinges) of Hollidaysburg and Wyatt D. Curry (Riley) of Duncansville; two great granddaughters: Elizabeth and Frances; a step-son, Joshua Dengler; two step-grandchildren: Taylor Dengler and Jocelyn Shultz; a step-great-grandson, Noah Espenlaub;  and three brothers: Leo J. Drass Jr. (Cynthia) of Dysart, Dennis B. Drass and Matthew E. Drass both of Hollidaysburg.

Kathy was a 1971 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School.  Following high school she worked at James Industries, Hollidaysburg and at Veeder-Root in Duncansville.  Kathy retired in 2016 as an Administrative Assistant from Blair County Community Action, with over 25 years of service.

She loved spending time with her family, horses, chickens and just about any animal.  Kathy also enjoyed going to yard sales and watching old movies and westerns.

There will be no public services and a private interment will be held at Oreminea Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.  Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg.
