Kenneth J. Detwiler

Kenneth J. Detwiler, 67, of New Enterprise, passed away on May 21, 2016 at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Altoona. Born on December 1, 1948 in Roaring Spring, the son of Donald K. and Matilda (Russell) Detwiler. On August 2, 1975 in Loysburg, he married Nancy L. Holsinger. Kenneth was a member of the St. John’s Reformed Church and worked for Cove Shoe. He enjoyed riding four-wheelers, woodworking, and being outdoors. Surviving are his wife Nancy; daughter Karen D. Detwiler and special friend Dave Myers (children Marry and Jocelyn), three brothers, and four sisters. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 24th from 6:00PM-8:00PM and Wednesday, May 25th from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the St. John’s Reformed Church in Loysburg. At 11:00AM on Wednesday a funeral service will be held with Pastor David Meckley officiating. Interment will be at Dry Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home; Woodbury, PA.
