Kenneth H. Bush, Jr.

Kenneth H. Bush, Jr., 83, of Martinsburg, passed away on July 6, 2025 at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center – Roaring Spring. He was born on May 22, 1942 in Mt. Joy, Pennsylvania; son of the late Kenneth H., Sr. and Phoebe (Smyers) Bush. On April 6, 1963 in Alabama, he was united in marriage to Joyce Irene (Stonerook) Bush; she preceded him in death on June 10, 2023.

Kenneth was a Class of 1960 graduate of Northern Bedford County High School and held a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from La Roche University. He served his country as a member of the United States Navy stationed in Scotland, Illinois, Florida, Okinawa, California, USS Saratoga, Virginia, and Philadelphia. Kenneth served from November 24, 1961 to March 31, 1983 and obtained the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He drove truck for Metzler Brothers Inc. for many years and was a City of Altoona Crossing Guard. Kenneth was Lutheran in faith and recently began attending the Martinsburg Church of God. He enjoyed traveling, flea markets, and auctions. Kenneth was a member of the D. Merl Tipton VFW Post 43 – Martinsburg.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce and siblings Robert, Wayne Sr., and Charlotte. Surviving is daughter, April Reitnauer (Dale) of Fleetwood, PA; daughter, Bobbi Wood (Allen) of Panama City Beach, FL; daughter, Sheena Evans (Tom) of Duncansville, PA; son, Kenneth Bush, III (Dawn) of Boswell, PA; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brother, William L. Bush; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Sunday, July 13, 2025 from 12:00PM until the 1:00PM Funeral Service at the Stone Funeral Home in Woodbury. Interment will follow in Replogle Cemetery - Woodbury with Military Honors.
