Kenneth W. Bowser “Pap-Pap”, 63, of Woodbury, passed away on December 6, 2018 at UPMC Altoona. He was born on December 23, 1954 in Hopewell, son of the late James C. and Betty (Forshey) Bowser. On April 7, 1974 at the Waterside Church of the Brethren, he married Cathy Rettburg. Ken was a graduate of Tussey Mountain and a member of the Bethel Church of the Brethren. He was first employed as a mechanic at Morris International in Everett. Following this, he went to work for Wineland Equipment as a mechanic and later as a shop foreman. He enjoyed woodworking, attending tractor shows with his family, and mentoring his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife Cathy; son Mark A. Bowser (Sandy) of Loysburg; daughter Kendra A. Pritchett (Josh) of Yellow Creek; son Justin S. Bowser (Jillian) of Ligonier; son Jared L. Bowser of Pittsburgh; brother Harry Bowser (Deanna) of Fishertown; brother James Bowser (Brenda) of Saxton; sister Kathy Eshelman (Francis) of Everett; as well as grandchildren, Benjamin, Lillian, Lena, and Landon. Friends will be received on Sunday, December 9, 2018 from 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM. On Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 11:00AM a Memorial Service with take place with Pastors Paul Snyder and Eric Poteat officiating. All of the above will be held at the Waterside Church of the Brethren. Ken truly enjoyed lending a helping hand to neighbors and friends. Above all else, he prided himself in having a strong family bond. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions in Ken's name can be made to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association. Arrangements by Weaver Funeral Home, LLC; Woodbury.
