L. Colin Hoover

Lionel Colin Hoover, 72, of Henrietta, passed away Wednesday afternoon, August 14, 2024, at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, Roaring Spring.
He was born in Martinsburg, son of Rodger S. “Bacon” Hoover and the late Hazel M. (Over) Hoover.
Surviving are his father of Martinsburg; his wife, Debra of Hollidaysburg; three sons: Justin C. Hoover of Hollidaysburg, Andrew B. Hoover (Debby) of Billings, MT and Travis S. Hoover (Kiley) of Martinsburg.
Colin was a 1970 graduate of Central High School, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Penn State University.
He served the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for over 20 years, working at PennDot as a Bridge Maintenance Coordinator, Highway Maintenance Manager, Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor of Materials, and as a Surveyor. Colin also worked at DCNR, and was experienced in construction, working at NESL as a Chainman, Rodman, Instrument Man, Laborer, Pile Driver, Field Engineer Party Chief and Carpenter; at Nestlerode as a Carpenter, Operator, and as a Foreman working in Lock Haven, Lewistown, and Saxton on Bridge Projects; at Wagman as a Foreman working on reconstructs over 495 in DC and MD; and at Hull as Lead Carpenter on the Rock Creek Parkway by Memorial Bridge in DC.
At Colin’s request there will be no visitation or service. Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.
