L. Romaine Fetter-Shaw

L. Romaine Fetter-Shaw, 99, of Martinsburg, formerly of Woodbury, passed away on July 20, 2020 at Homewood in Martinsburg. She was born on December 18, 1920 in Woodbury and a graduate of the Woodbury High School. On October 11, 1940 in Cumberland, MD she was united in marriage to John E. Fetter; he preceded her in death on November 9, 1975. On October 22, 1994 in Woodbury, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Shaw; he preceded her in death on March 30, 2006. Romaine enjoyed traveling, deep sea fishing, crocheting and sewing, and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Nason Hospital Auxiliary, Stonecroft Women’s Ministry, and the Woodbury Church of the Brethren. Romaine was preceded in death by her husband John, husband Kenneth, a baby grandson, a baby granddaughter, and a son-in-law John Eichelberger. Surviving are son Donald Fetter (Eleanor); daughter Joyce Wyles (Jay); daughter Kay Gorsuch (Bill); daughter Jean Eichelberger (Dale); step-son Ronald Shaw; sister Doris Replogle; brother Robert Pressel; grandchildren George W. Fetter, Julie Metzler, Joy Wilt, Jill Thompson, Todd Gorsuch, Wendi Calhoun, and Scott Eichelberger; as well as 11 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. Friends will be received on Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 10:00-11:00AM. At 11:00AM a Funeral Service will take place with Pastor David Ulm officiating. All of the above will be held at the Woodbury Church of the Brethren. Interment will be in Dry Hill Cemetery.
