Lawrence E. College Jr. “Junior”, 90, of Six Mile Run, passed away on November 14, 2015 at his home. He was born in West Providence on September 28, 1925, the son of Lawrence and Francis (Rogers) College. He was married to Yolanda Koplets who preceded him in death in January of 2002. Lawrence worked as a coal miner for the College Coal Mining Company and was later a supervisor for Dunlop Tire. He was a Sargent in the Army and parachutist during WWII. He was the 1959-1963 Western New York State Champion Trap Shooter.  He was also involved in the Buffalo Shooting Club, The Six Mile Run American Legion, the Masons, The Saxton Sportsman Association, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.  Lawrence loved his family and grandchildren. Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife Yolanda and son Joseph.  Also preceding him in death were brothers and sisters; Elizabeth McDonald, Pauline Lazor, William “Max” College, Judy Farkas, and Jerry College. Survivors include, son Jack of Clemmons, NC; sisters Phyllis Rogers and JoAnne Hennessey; four Grandchildren; and nine Great-Grandchildren. Also surviving is companion Sandy Heath. At request of the deceased no services will be conducted. Arrangements by the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home,Woodbury PA.
