Leona (Poole) Elbin

Leona (Poole) Elbin, 90, of Woodbury, passed away on November 26, 2025 at her home. She was born on April 28, 1935 in Purcell; daughter of the late Consor and Elsie (Clingerman) Poole. On June 28, 1952 in Flintstone, Maryland she was united in marriage to Robert J. Elbin, Sr.; he preceded her in death on September 28, 2021.

Leona drove school bus and van for over 40 years, beginning in the 1970s. She was an instrumental part of the family racing team. Leona also enjoyed crocheting for her family and friends.

Leona was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sr. and a daughter, Sheila Elbin. Surviving are son, Robert Elbin Jr. and wife Bonnie of Bedford; son, Steve Elbin and wife Sandy of State College; daughter, Sharon Beach and husband Bobby of Frosty Hollow; son, Tim Elbin and wife Suzanne of Carlisle; as well as 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

At request of the deceased, services will be held privately. Interment will be in Dry Hill Cemetery – Woodbury.
