Leona M. "Peach" Miller, 75, rural Hollidaysburg passed away Thursday at UPMC Altoona following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Richard and Dorothy (Shade) Geist. On December 8, 1962 she married George A. Miller in Williamsburg. He preceded her in death on July 23, 2005.
Surviving are 2 sons: Donald E. "Dunk" Milller (Patty) of rural Hollidaysburg and Robert A. Miller (Mary) of rural Williamsburg; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dutch Geist of Altoona.
She was preceded in death by a son, George A. Jr.; a sister, Beverly Merritts; and 2 brothers: Todd and George.
Peach loved playing bingo in Newry, Geeseytown and Williamsburg. She also enjoyed spending time on her computer.
Friends will be received from 3-5pm, Saturday, February 25, 2017 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg. A funeral service will follow at 5pm at the funeral home, Pastor Gordie Trimer officiating. Following the service a fellowship meal will be held at the Geeseytown Fire Hall. Private interment will be held at Oreminea Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to help with cancer treatment expenses for Norma Jean Lingenfelter, C/O Donald and Patty Miller.
