Linda Jean (Maurer) Patterson

Linda Jean Patterson, 68, of Duncansville, passed away on June 11, 2016 at Epworth Manor, Tyrone. She was born on November 12, 1947 in Altoona, the daughter of Cecil W. and Leah G. (Miller) Maurer. On June 8, 1979 in Altoona she married Millard F. Patterson. Linda was a 1965 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School, and then attended the Altoona Hospital School of Nursing. She was a Night Supervisor at The Village of Morrisons Cove, Teacher’s Aide at the Calvary Baptist Christian Academy, Nurse at Girlhaven Inc., and was a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Department at the Altoona Hospital. Linda attended the Leamersville Grace Brethren Church. She loved playing the organ, participating in Missionary Groups and the church choir, craft projects, reading, and sewing.  Survivors include her husband Millard and son Paul. Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 15, 2016 from 9:00AM to 11:00AM. At 11:00AM a Funeral Service will take place with Earl Herr officiating.  All of the above will be held at the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral in Woodbury, PA. Interment at Keagy Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made to any Local Animal Shelter. Arrangements by the S.
