Luke L. Martin

Luke L. Martin, 67, of Snyder Creek Road, New Enterprise, passed away on October 25, 2018 at his home. He was born on August 2, 1951 in Ephrata Twp., son of the late Luke B. and Sara W. (Leid) Martin. On November 13, 1975 in East Earl, PA, he married Anna M. Newswanger who survives. Luke was a life-long dairy farmer and a member of the New Enterprise Old Order Mennonite Church (Groffdale Conference). He was preceded in death by a grandson, Nolan Zimmerman. Surviving are his wife Anna M.; son Alvin N. Martin and wife Dorothy of New Enterprise, son Andrew N. Martin and wife Diane of Martinsburg, son Luke Ray Martin and wife Eva of New Enterprise, son Marvin N. Martin and wife Kayla of New Enterprise, son Stephen N. Martin of New Enterprise, son Elverne N. Martin and wife Norleen of Woodbury; daughter Wilma N. Rissler and husband Curvin of New Enterprise, daughter Arlene N. Zimmerman and husband Kevin of Wheeling, MO; brother Carl L. Martin and wife Esther of Honey Brook, PA, brother Louis L. Martin and wife Verna of Thorp, WI.; sister Marie L. Stauffer of Ephrata, PA, sister Sara L. Nolt and husband Marcus of Athens, WI; as well as 37 grandchildren. Friends will be received on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM at his home in New Enterprise. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 9:30AM at the New Enterprise Old Order Church. Ministry will include David Martin, Lawrence Zimmerman, Mervin Martin, and Irvin Zimmerman. Interment will be at the Church Cemetery. Arrangements by Weaver Funeral Home, LLC; Woodbury.
