Lydia H. Zimmerman

August 8, 1942 — February 16, 2013

Lydia H Zimmerman, 70, of 400 Spring Farm Road, Martinsburg, Pennsylvania went to her
eternal reward in Heaven on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at her residence. She is survived by
her husband of over 49 years, Erwin W. Zimmerman.
Born on August 8, 1942 at Ephrata Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Moses and Minnie
(Hoover) Zimmerman. She was a member of the Old Order Mennonite Church, Groffdale
Conference of Martinsburg.
Surviving are ten children: Roseann married to Elam Zimmerman of Martinsburg; Vernon
married to Anna Ruth (Zimmerman) of Martinsburg; Lorraine married to Jerry Martin of
Martinsburg; Marcus married to Lorraine (Stauffer) of Martinsburg; Clyde married to Anna Mae
(Stauffer) of Woodbury; Annetta married to Elvin Zeiset of Thorpe, Wisconsin; Berneice married
to Clifford Leid of New Enterprise; Brenda married to Paul Ivan Nolt of Martinsburg; Kevin
married to Mabel (Rissler) of Martinsburg and Kenneth married to Grace (Newswanger) of
Martinsburg.
Three brothers: David and Ida Zimmerman of Lititz, PA; Irvin and Mary Zimmerman of
Martinsburg; Ivan and Ella Zimmerman of Martinsburg. Three sisters and one sister-in-law:
Barbara and Ivan Hoover of Penn Yan, NY; Esther and Lloyd Burkholder of Ephrata, PA; Alta and
Earl Newswanger of Pembroke, KY and a sister-in-law, Vera Zimmerman of Ephrata, PA. 49
grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Daniel Zimmerman of Ephrata and Weaver
Zimmerman (former husband of Vera) of Ephrata, PA.
A viewing will be held at the home, 400 Spring Farm Road, Martinsburg, PA on Tuesday,
February 19 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 20 at 1:00 PM at the Old Order
Martinsburg Mennonite Church with Bishop Titus Martin officiating. Interment will be in the
adjoining church cemetery.
