M. Pauline (Snyder) Huntsman

M. Pauline (Snyder) Huntsman, 94, of Martinsburg, passed on August 25, 2025 at the Village at Morrisons Cove. She was born on August 2, 1931 in Snake Spring Township, Bedford County; daughter of the late Albert R. and Mae G. (Koontz) Snyder. On March 21, 1951 in Snake Spring Valley, she was united in marriage to Donald K. Huntsman; he preceded her in death on December 24, 1997.

Pauline was a Class of 1949 graduate of Bedford High School and worked as a Fancy Stitcher for the Martinsburg Shoe Company for many years. She was a member of the Waterside Church of the Brethren but currently attended Greater Works Ministry. While at Waterside, Pauline was a deaconess and involved in the Middle Pennsylvania District Church of the Brethren Heritage Fair and numerous Brethren Disaster Relief projects. Pauline enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening and flowers, and visiting with friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald and a brother, James Snyder. Surviving is son, Kenneth A. Huntsman (Marcia K.) of Steamboat Springs, CO; son, Donald R. Huntsman (Donna I.) of Bedford; daughter, Carol A. Huntsman of Durham, NC; daughter, Betsy S. Salyards (Randy H.) of Duncansville; grandchildren, Stephanie, Nicole, Trisha, Jason, Michael, Paul, Bradley, Derek, Tyler, and Kelsey; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald R. Snyder of Leesburg, FL; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 10:00AM until 12:00 Noon at the Fink & Stone Funeral Home in Woodbury.  Funeral Service will immediately follow at the same location; Pastor Paul Snyder officiating. Interment will be in Dry Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions in Pauline’s name may be made to the Village at Morrisons Cove Benevolent Fund or the Morrisons Cove Memorial Park.
