Margaret (Garson) Nuss of Martinsburg, PA passed away peacefully at The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg, PA, after a long struggle with Parkinson’s Disease.   Born in Williamsport, PA, daughter of William Huntley Garson and Jeanne (Clark) Garson, and in 2001 married Paul E. Nuss, Sr.  In addition to her husband Paul, she is survived by her two sons father, Robert Sloaf of Punxsutawney; two sons:  Jason C. Sloaf of Livingston, MT and Andrew Sloaf of Olympia, WA, and six grandchildren, Emily Sloaf, Molly Sloaf, Madeleine Sloaf,  in Pittsburgh, and Torin Sloaf, Daisy Sloaf, and Lila Jeanne Sloaf in Olympia, as well as brothers William H. Garson Jr. of Olympia, WA and Thomas Garson of Ashland, OR., and husband Paul’s children and grandchildren.  Margaret graduated from South Williamsport High School in 1965, and Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1969. She retired from Homewood in Martinsburg as Director of Marketing for Independent Living.  Her father, mother, and sister Jeanne Garson pre-deceased her.

Margaret was a gourmet cook, and loved her flower gardens at her home.  She loved traveling with her husband Paul in their own airplane, on their motorcycle, with the RV trailer, and in their street rod.  Margaret lived in Punxsutawney for many years, and kept close contact with many friends there, including her friends from their Card Club.   She also had befriended many residents at Homewood, and kept many close friendships there.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Friday, March 11, 2022 at the Bice Memorial Chapel at Homewood, Martinsburg, Rev. Jerry McCuller Jr.  officiating.
