Margaret V. Frye, 90, Williamsburg passed away Tuesday evening at UPMC Altoona.

She was born in Williamsburg, daughter of the late Ralph Martin and Mertie Belle (Dively) Moyer. On December 19, 1957 she married William R. Frye in Williamsburg. He preceded her in death on January 9, 2007.

Surviving are a nephew, Ralph A. Pearson of rural Williamsburg; 3 nieces: Grace L. Suter of Langhorne, Patty A. Riley of Williamsburg and Linda K. Smith of Martinsburg; 2 sisters-in-law: Ethel L. Moyer and Joyce M. Frye both of Williamsburg; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Jo Ann Moore; 2 brothers: George and Ralph Dean Moyer; and a sister, Mary V. Pearson.

Margaret was a 1944 graduate of Williamsburg High School. Following school she worked in a rivet factory in Columbus, OH during WWII and retired as a pattern folder from Butterick, Altoona with many years of service.

She was a life member of the former Yellow Springs Lutheran Church, rural Williamsburg; The Williamsburg Vol. Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and Bonner-Sollenberger American Legion Post 456, Williamsburg.

For many years prior to 911, she and her husband Bill received and answered all emergency response calls for Williamsburg and the surrounding area.

Margaret enjoyed playing bingo, knitting and watching game shows.

Friends will be received from 5-7pm, Friday, March 3, 2017 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the funeral home, Pastor Betty J. Royer officiating. Private interment will be held at Yellow Springs Lutheran Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.
