Margaret N. Clapper

Margaret N. Clapper, 97, Martinsburg, passed away Thursday evening at The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg.
She was born in Martinsburg, daughter of the late Herman K. and Erie B. (Fornwalt) Sollenberger. Margaret was twice married, first to James Evans and then to Rawleigh L. Clapper, both preceded her in death.
Surviving are 3 step-daughters: Jone E. Boaz of Alexandria, VA, Mary Lou Stiffler of Osterburg, and Barbara E. Leidy (Frank) of Martinsburg; a step-son, Ronald L. Clapper of Camden, DE; 8 step-grandchildren; 12 step-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Casper and James; and 2 sisters: Gertrude Ebersole and Mary Clapper.
Margaret had attended the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf, Philadelphia.
She was a member of Memorial Church of the Brethren, Martinsburg.
Margaret had been employed as a seamstress for Warnaco Inc., Duncansville and also worked in housekeeping at Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring.
Friends will be received from 11:30 am until the 1pm funeral service, Monday, July 27, 2015 at The Village at Morrisons Cove Chapel, Martinsburg, Chaplain Linda S. Banaszak officiating. Interment to follow at Brumbaugh Cemetery, rural Martinsburg.
