Margret "Delphine" (Mock) Rice

Margret “Delphine” Rice, 84, of New Enterprise, passed away on April 3, 2016 at The Village at Morrisons Cove. She was born on March 10, 1932 in Saxton, the daughter of Warren and Margret (Pearson) Mock. On April 4, 1950 she married Jack W. Rice who preceded her in death on October 22, 2012. Delphine was the former President of the Southern Cove Fire Company Auxiliary. Surviving is daughter, Kay Grove of Martinsburg; son, Rex Rice of New Enterprise; grandson, Jim Grove of Martinsburg; and great-grandchildren Jackson and Elijah Grove. She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother Dick Mock; and sisters, Ruth Ramsey, Grace Maugle, and Betty Price. A committal service will be held on Thursday, April 7th at 11:00AM at the Salemville Cemetery. Arrangements by the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home, Woodbury.
