Marie E. (Kensinger) Cole went to meet the Lord and her family on September 8, 2026. She was born in Fredericksburg, Pennsylvania on November 9, 1924, the daughter of Earl O. and Susan G. (Snowberger) Kensinger. Marie was married twice. She married Edgar "Ed'' Blair Bush Jr., son of Edgar Blair and Alice Jane (Fletcher) Bush Sr. on September 12, 1945. She later married Lamar David (Jack) Cole, son of David and Leona (Cotner) Cole on May 3, 1958.
Marie is survived by three children: Rickey (Bush) Cole of Hollidaysburg, Daryl (Bush) Cole and wife Judith of Williamsburg, and Carla (Bush) (Cole) Pait of Charlestown, Indiana; seven grandchildren: Lisa Cole of Tallahassee, Florida, Mike Cole (wife, Tracee) of Spring Lake, Michigan, Christine (Cole) Zengel of Williamsburg, Stephen Cole (wife, Jennifer) of San Diego, California; Jeremy Pait of Jeffersonville, Indiana, and John and Jessie Pait of Sellersburg, Indiana; stepdaughters: Jodie McClure of Altoona, Penney (McClure) Moore and husband Mark of Camp Hill; Michelle (McClure) Nevitt and husband Tim of Williamsburg, and Jacqueline (McClure) Sullivan and husband Jeremy of Roaring Spring; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Fred Biddle of Williamsburg; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Marie was preceded in death by five siblings: brothers, Richard, Robert and Eugene; and sisters: Betty (Kensinger) McConahy, and A. Irene (Kensinger) Biddle.
Marie was a Class of 1942 graduate of Bean Hill High School. She retired from the A&P Tea Company in 1982 after working there for 23 years. Marie was an active member of the Williamsburg Senior Center and attended Grace Pointe Community Church – Williamsburg. She was an avid quilter, having won many prizes for her hand sewn items at county fairs. Marie will be remembered as a lovely person who always had a smile on her face.
Friends will be received on Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 10:00AM until the 11:00AM Funeral Service at Grace Pointe Community Church; Pastor Josh Kirksey officiating. Interment will be in Brumbaugh Cemetery - Fredericksburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Marie’s name may be made to the Williamsburg Senior Center (423 West 2nd St. Williamsburg, PA 16693).
