Martha A. Disney, 72, of Roaring Spring, formerly of Martinsburg, passed away Friday morning, December 3, 2021 at her home.

She was born in Bradford Pa., daughter of the late Fred M. and Juanita J. (Kaber) Burns.  On April 6, 1968 she married Jerry Roy Disney in Custer City, Pa and he preceded her in death on June 2, 2019 after 51 years of marriage.

Surviving are a son, Michael R. (Krystal) of rural Roaring Spring; a daughter, Cindy L. Wright of Hollidaysburg; a “second daughter”, Pamela (Stephen) Schuster of Mooresville, NC; 6 grandchildren: Derek Wright, Gavin Wright, Rebekah Disney, Sarah Disney, Ava Schuster, and Sutton Schuster; a sister: Susan Rea of Custer City; and a brother, Robert Burns of Fountain Hills, AZ.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Burns

Martha was a graduate of Bradford Area High School and also received a degree in library sciences from Edinboro University. She retired as a bank teller where she worked for various banks in the area and previously worked as a manager and secretary at the Blair County Airport.

She was a woman of strong faith and taught Sunday school as a member of Hicks United Methodist Church, Duncansville. She also was a member of the Rotary, and The Village at Morrisons Cove Auxiliary where she sat on the board and volunteered her time.

Martha loved spending time with her family, reading, flowers, gardening, cooking, baking, and playing piano.

Friends will be received from 3:30 to 5pm, Friday, December 10, 2021 at Hicks United Methodist Church, Duncansville, where a celebration of life service will be held at 5pm, Pastor Rich Morris officiating.   Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.
