Mary Elizabeth Hatch, 72, of rural Williamsburg, passed away Sunday morning, December 1, 2019 at UPMC Altoona.

She was born in Williamsburg, daughter of the late Richard M. and Hazel T. (Deters) Sayers and was raised by her aunt, Phyllis Hatch and uncle, Gerald Deters.

Surviving are a sister, Patricia A. Hatch; a sister-in-law, Christina D. Hatch; a nephew, Aaron Mays; a great-nephew, Hunter Ross; and a special friend, Rick Verbonitz all of Williamsburg.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard M. “Rick” Hatch.

Mary was a 1965 graduate of Williamsburg High School and was a longtime, active member of Royer United Methodist Church, rural Williamsburg.

She was an incredible caregiver and homemaker to her entire family, for many years.  Mary loved her family, church family and taking care of her pet dogs and cats, especially Biffy and Sunny. She also enjoyed reading Stephen King and Dean Koontz novels and doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family and a private inurnment will be held at Oreminea Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.  Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg.

Memorial contributions in memory of Mary can be given to the Huntingdon County Humane Society, 11371 School House Hollow Rd., Huntingdon, PA 16652.
