Mary “Emma” Lillibridge, 93, rural Spruce Creek, went home to be with the Lord, early Friday morning at Westminster Woods at Huntingdon with her husband Edward of 73 years by her side.

Emma was born in Blue Knob, daughter of the late D. Ralph and Celia C. (Burger) Hileman.

Surviving are her beloved husband in Huntingdon; 2 sons: Edward L. of Adamsville and M. Terry of Alexandria; 4 grandchildren: Mariann, Betsy, Jason and Matthew; 4 great-grandchildren: Alysa, Jaselyn, Emma and Cal.

Emma was preceded in death by 4 sisters: Dorothy Hinish, Julia Norris, C. Marie Troxell and infant Edna; and 4 brothers: Ronald, Donald, Kenneth and infant Harold.

She was raised on the family farm along Clover Creek in rural Williamsburg.

Following her graduation from Williamsburg High School she moved to Harrisburg where she was employed at Letterkenny Army Depot during World War II. Here is where she met Edward R. Lillibridge of Independence, KS while he was serving in the army at Fort Indiantown Gap. After 2 weeks they were married and the two recently celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary.

They raised their two boys on a farm near Spruce Creek, Huntingdon County.

Along with farming she enjoyed gardening, flowers and had worked at Arrow Shirt Factory, Huntingdon and for the Home Nursing Agency.

Friends will be received from 10:30 am until the noon, funeral service, Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church, Williamsburg, Pastor Tiffany E. Marvich officiating. Interment will follow at Yellow Springs Lutheran Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.

The family prefers memorial contributions be given to Zion Lutheran Church, 217 Plum St., Williamsburg, PA 16693.
