Maxwell L. Hay

Maxwell L. Hay, 88, of Martinsburg, passed away on February 11, 2018 at Homewood in Martinsburg. He was born August 5, 1929 in Warren, OH; son of the late John and Ann (Black) Hay. Maxwell was a 1947 graduate of the Warren G. Harding High School. Maxwell was employed by Walker Gordon Labs and retired as a courier from Firmenich Inc. He enjoyed surf fishing, canoeing, and traveling. Maxwell also served as an Assistant Scout Master for the Boy Scouts of America. He was preceded in death by his brother John A. Hay.  Surviving are his wife Ida of 63 years; sons Greg L. Hay of Conway, AR and Rex Eugene Hay (wife Michele) of Newton, PA; daughter Wenona Ann Zimmerman (husband Darren) of Middletown, PA; and grandchildren Andrew, Ian, Robert, Rachel, and Stephen (wife Ashley) Hay.
