Melanie L. Saulen, 44, of Williamsburg, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, October 18, 2022 at UPMC Altoona.
She was born in Huntingdon, daughter of Patricia A. (Smith) Pavlik and the late David R. Saulen.
Surviving are her mother, Patricia and step-father, George Pavlik of Lewistown; her step-mother, Mary Saulen of Mount Union; a daughter, Alana E. Saulen (Tanner Gooden) of Du Bois; a son, Jack D. Sheesley at home; a granddaughter, Maya M. Gooden; longtime partner, Anthony “Tony” J. Camaroto of Williamsburg; a sister, Lisa B. Abernethy of Houtzdale; a brother, Andrew M. Saulen of Tampa, FL; three nieces: Gerika Grau of Bellefonte, June Saulen of Pittsburgh and Elsie Saulen of Altoona; and two nephews: Kai House of Mount Union and Max Abernethy of Houtzdale.
Melanie was a 1996 graduate of Mount Union Area High School, where she was a member of the cheerleading squad.
She was primarily a homemaker that also worked at various places as a bartender. Melanie had excellent listening skills, a big heart and enjoyed helping people, attributes that made her an amazing person and bartender.
Melanie loved spending time with family and friends, especially with her granddaughter, Maya. She also enjoyed hosting and cooking for get-togethers and time away at her favorite place, the beach.
Friends will be received from 2-5pm, Sunday, October 23, 2022 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg. A private service and interment will be held at Mount Union Cemetery, with Rev. Sylvia Morris officiating.
Memorial contributions in memory of Melanie may be given to the Williamsburg Volunteer Fire Company, 305 E. Second St., Williamsburg, PA 16693.
