MELDA CLAPPER, 98 Of the Village at Morrisons Cove, formerly from New Enterprise and Loysburg. Died 08/29/2013 at the Village of Morrisons Cove. Born 04/02/1915 in Salemville the daughter of Isaiah and Lucy (Kagarise) Ebersole. Married Joe A. Clapper on 05/14/1932 at Cumberland MD who died 12/11/1972. She was a Seventh-Day Adventist member and Sabbath School Teacher at the Everett SDA church.
Her professional life was her passion for her family: babysitting, grandchildren, crafty in the kitchen, cooking balanced meals and baking superb carrot cakes for her family reunions, teaching her many skills, studying God’s words, modeling God’s wisdom, crocheting fifty plus afghans for her family and friends, and her favorite words constantly being communicated were: I LOVE Everyone In My Family.
Survivors: two daughters Jean Laughlin, Hollidaysburg; Leanna Calhoun, and husband Leo of New Enterprise, one son Don Clapper and wife Nancy; of Waynesboro,; her sister Freda Furry of New enterprise; Ten Grandchildren Candy Barlette, Husband Carl; Lucinda Brennan, husband Willis; Reginald Clapper; Joylynn Perkins, husband Mike; Lonald Calhoun; Londa Heath; Terry Clapper and wife Mellissa; Karen Kaczmarek and husband Jon; LouAnn Shariff, husband Zach; Tonya McCellan; Fifteen

Friends Received: Monday 10:30 to 12:30am, the 2nd at the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home Where a 12:30 service will be held by Pastor Robert Snyder. Interment in the Salemville Cemetery. Memorials maybe made to the American Red Cross. Arrangements by the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home, Woodbury.
