Michael W. Detwiler, 73, of rural Martinsburg, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025, at UPMC Altoona.

He was born in Roaring Spring, son of the late Harry and Lena M. (Harvey) Detwiler.

Michael is survived by numerous extended family members, and his beloved dog, Sadie.

He was a 1970 graduate of Central High School, Martinsburg, and a 1974 graduate of Penn State University with a bachelor's degree in economics.  Michael owned and operated Detwiler’s Hardware, rural Martinsburg, and also worked for Midstate Tool & Supply, Altoona. He attended Mt. Pleasant Church, rural Martinsburg, and enjoyed hunting and reading.

Per Michael's request, there will be no services held. Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.
