Michelle Lee Krider, of Roaring Spring, passed away after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on May 28, 1960.
Michelle was a gentle, kind, and sweet person whose warmth touched everyone who knew her. She was a devoted mother, sister, and grandmother whose greatest joy in life was her family. More than anything, she loved her grandchildren deeply and treasured every moment spent with them. Her love, patience, and caring spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Michelle deeply cherished her faith and loved attending family retreats at Camp Yolijwa with Bare Memorial Church of God, Roaring Spring. She also faithfully attended online services with Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church. Her faith brought her comfort, strength, and joy throughout her life.
Writing was one of Michelle’s greatest passions. She found joy in expressing herself through words and had a love for storytelling and creativity. It was a gift that reflected her thoughtful nature and gentle spirit.
Michelle spent many years working in furniture sales with Fiore Furniture in Altoona. She enjoyed helping customers create comfortable homes and was known for her friendly personality and genuine care for others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Merl and Carol Hess, and her beloved granddaughter, Hailey Gonsman. She is survived by her son, Benjamin Krider and girlfriend Brittnay Mayhue of Pittsburgh, and his children, Evelyn, Jocelyn, and Audrey; her daughter, Amanda Gonsman, and son-in-law, Anthony Gonsman, of Williamsburg, along with their children, Tristan, Titus, Adrian, Allie, and Allegra; and her sisters, Deb Holland of Everett, Beth Dellinger of Martinsburg, and Pam Hess of Claysburg.
Michelle will be remembered for the love she shared so freely, her gentle heart, unwavering faith, and the lasting impact she made on her family and friends. Her memory will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.
Friends will be received on Saturday, June 13, 2026 from 10:00AM until the 11:00AM Memorial Service at the Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to assist the family with expenses.
