Mildred Coble
Mildred (Dimond) Coble, a longtime resident of San Antonio, TX, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 11:00 p.m., Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the age of 96. Millie (as she liked to be called) was born in Bedford County, PA on December 14, 1918 to Harvey and Susan Dimond as the third of seven children.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 6 at 11:00 a.m., at the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home in Woodbury, PA, with Pastor Janet Sell officiating.
Mildred was married to Marshall Robinette in 1936 and had three children, Barbara (Robinette) Shippy, Jean (Robinette) Karns and David Robinette.
She was married to Allan M. Coble in 1967.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, her daughter Jean, son-in-law James Shippy, and all of her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Shippy of Shippensburg, PA, son David and wife Shu of San Antonio, TX, stepdaughter Vickie Mott and husband Michael of Woodlands, CA, sisters-in-law Pat Dimond of Mechanicsburg, PA and Darlene Dimond of Martinsburg, PA.
She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
Mildred was an active member of Calvary Hills Baptist Church for many years and has left behind many friends there. She was a member of Timberhill Retirement Center in San Antonio for seven years and will be missed by the many residents who knew her.
Mildred made friends wherever she went and spent her retirement years traveling the country with her husband Al, visiting family and friends all over the United States. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
