Miriam L. Showalter, 86, a resident of The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg, formerly of Roaring Spring, passed away late Thursday morning, May 28, 2015, at the Village.

She was born in Martinsburg, daughter of the late Emerson and Reba (Frye) Isenberg.  She married Charles Showalter on June 18, 1949 in Martinsburg.  He preceded her in death October 31, 1988.

Surviving is a son, Rick J. (Robyn) of Chambersburg; 2 grandchildren: Joseph Showalter (Martha) of Pennsylvania Furnace and Kelly Casey (Matt) of Elkridge, MD; 2 great-grandchildren: Megan Showalter and Emma Casey; 2 sisters: Esther Kauffman of Harrisburg and Pauline Rhodes of rural Roaring Spring, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Miriam was a graduate of Martinsburg High School and a member of Memorial Church of the Brethren, Martinsburg.

Friends will be received from 1 until the 2 p.m. funeral service Saturday, May 30, 2015, at The Village at Morrisons Cove Chapel, Chaplain Linda S. Banaszak and Pastor Joel F. Nogle officiating.  Interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.

Memorial contributions can be given to Memorial Church of the Brethren, Martinsburg.
