Nada F. Russell, 88, of Tatesville, is now rejoicing in Heaven with her Lord and Savior, after passing at her home on October 26, 2020. She was born on April 3, 1932 in Woodbury; daughter of the late Thomas P. and Esta (Keagy) Fletcher. On August 18, 1951 she was united in marriage to Henry Russell Jr.; he preceded her in death on April 5, 2014. Nada was a graduate of the Woodbury High School and the Altoona Bible Institute. She was a member of the Everett Grace Brethren Church and was the volunteer treasurer for the Bedford County Child Evangelism Fellowship. Nada worked as a telephone operator, a dairy farmer, and school van driver. She was preceded in death by grandchildren Jennifer Angelo Meck, Chad Knechtel, and Cylee Knechtel; brothers John and Vance Fletcher; and son-in-law Lester Crawford. Surviving are daughters Geri Angelo (Tim) of Broad Top, Glenda Knechtel (Mike) of Waynesboro, Genavie Chamberlain (Lynn) of Clearville, Gail Basore (Edward) of Duncansville, and Ginerva Crawford of Greencastle; as well of 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren. A small viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 28th from 3:00-4:00PM at the Weaver Funeral Home in Woodbury. Reverend Robert Russell and Reverend Melvin Van Orman will officiate a funeral service immediately after viewing, starting at 4:00PM. Interment will be in Dry Hill Cemetery.
