Nancy Ann Brumbaugh

Nancy Ann Brumbaugh, 67, of Hollidaysburg, formerly of Fredericksburg, passed away Saturday morning, November 16, 2024 at Cedarwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Tyrone.

She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Clark Atlee and Dorothy E. (Smith) Brumbaugh.

Surviving are a brother, Richard C. Brumbaugh of rural Roaring Spring; a sister-in-law, Janet Dawson of Camp Hill; a niece, Sharon J. Reese (Jeremy); three nephews: Glenn A. Brumbaugh Jr., Joshua L. Brumbaugh and John D. Brumbaugh; a great-niece, Joclynn Ramsey; a cousin, Lisa Bailets; and her pet cat, Lily.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Jane Brumbaugh; a brother, Glenn Atlee Brumbaugh; and a sister-in-law, Sandra J. Brumbaugh.

Nancy was a 1974 graduate of Central High School, Martinsburg and later earned a Special Education Degree from the Pennsylvania State University.

She taught Special Education for many years at the Northern Bedford Elementary School, where Nancy was extremely loved and respected by many of her students and their parents.  Nancy continued her love of helping others, by also working for years as a Direct Support Professional, helping people in many local communities.

Nancy was instrumental in leading and helping organize events for the Bedford County Special Olympics.  She also enjoyed reading, painting, drawing and photography.

Friends will be received from 11am until noon, Saturday, November 23, 2024 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg, where a funeral service will begin at noon.  Her nephew Pastor Glenn A. Brumbaugh Jr. will officiate.  Private interment will be held at Brumbaugh Cemetery, rural Martinsburg.
