Nancy Kay (Clinich) Ashman

Nancy Kay (Clinich) Ashman, 82, of rural Williamsburg, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning on June 16, 2024 at her residence.

She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Matthew and Norma (Hall) Clinich. On June 17, 1963, she married John W. “Jack” Ashman in Virginia.

Surviving are her beloved husband, Jack, of 61 years; three sons: John T. Ashman (Carmina) of La Paz, Mexico, Joel E. Ashman (Brigette) of Leesburg, VA, and Jason A. Ashman of Williamsburg; five grandchildren: Natalie Ashman, Samantha Ashman, Kayleigh Ashman, Charleigh Ashman, and Jose Ramirez; and one brother: John Clinich (Mary) of Roaring Spring.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Kilmer.

Nancy was a 1960 graduate of Roaring Spring High School.  She was employed at the Central School District and then was an office manager for Cherry Hill Associates.  Nancy helped operate the Jana Quarter Horse Farm, with her husband Jack, for 55 years.  She was a member of the Women’s Civic Club of Williamsburg.

Nancy was an award-winning seamstress who loved quilting with with a group of friends.  Her true gift was cooking, and she enjoyed cooking for friends and family.  She also created a cookbook of family recipes that she shared with friends.

Friends will be received from 10 am to 11 am, Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Fairview Church of the Brethren, where a celebration of life service will begin at 11 am, Pastor Alan Brumbaugh and Minister Stanley Horst officiating. Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg.
