Nellie L. (Kegarise) Morrison

Nellie L. Morrison, 98, of Martinsburg, formerly of Jack’s Corner, passed away on February 23, 2018 at Homewood, Martinsburg. She was born on February 6, 1920 in Jack’s Corner, daughter of the late Norman and Alma (Hall) Kegarise. On October 11, 1941 in Winchester, Virginia she married Elmer (Mike) Morrison. He preceded her in death on June 7, 2006. Nellie was a member of the Bedford Forge Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women (UMW), and the Cove Lioness Club. She enjoyed genealogy, jigsaw puzzles, and dominos. She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer; daughter-in-law Carol Morrison; great-granddaughter Maggie Bolar; as well as 2 brothers and 6 sisters. Surviving is daughter Dolores J. Fox (Tom) of Payson, AZ; son Dennis Morrison (Cookie) of Hopewell; son Galen Morrison of Riddlesburg; daughter Janice Morrison of Woodbury; as well as 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received on Sunday, February 25th from 6:00-8:00PM in the Chapel at Homewood at Martinsburg. A second visitation will be held on Monday, February 26th from 10:00AM until the hour of service at 11:00AM at the Bedford Forge Methodist Church. Pastor Nancy Goff will be officiating the funeral service. Interment will be at Bedford Forge Cemetery.
