Norman D. “Norm” Hatfield

Norman D. “Norm” Hatfield, 52, Hollidaysburg, peacefully passed away Sunday morning, December 31, 2023, at his home.

He was born in Altoona, a son of Jean (Phelan) Hatfield.

Surviving are his beloved mother, Jean, of Altoona; beloved daughter, Haleigh A. Hatfield, of Pittsburgh; significant other, Mandy Gildea, of Hollidaysburg; a brother, Bill Hatfield, of Altoona; a sister, Lori Baumgardner, of Summerhill; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Hatfield.

Norm was a 1989 graduate of Altoona Area High School and went on to receive certification in drafting from Triangle Tech, Greensburg. He was employed for 17 years by Holliday Hills, Hollidaysburg and most recently by Spring Manor Apartments, Hollidaysburg.

Norm’s greatest joy was raising his daughter, Haleigh. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and watching sports, especially football and baseball.

Norm’s infectious smile, kindness, and humbleness will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date.
