Pastor Carl T. Miner, 71, of rural Martinsburg, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Wednesday afternoon, March 26, 2025 at his home.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late, Thomas W. and Kay L. (Miller) Miner. On December 8, 2012 he married Martha Louise (Harclerode) Delvin.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Martha of 12 years; six children: Sheri Markuson (Michael), Karen Bresslin (Tom), Kris Miner (Becky), John Delvin (Tara), Kimberly Cornelius and Robert Delvin (Lynn); 25 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Sharon Howe; and two brothers: T. Craig Miner and Timothy B. Miner (Cathy).

Carl was preceded in death by Sharon, the mother of his three children; a sister, Penny Mae Albright; and a brother, Stephen Miner.

He was a 1971 graduate of Juniata Valley High School, Huntingdon County.  Carl received an associate degree in Psychology from The State University of New York and later completed his requirements for ministerial studies.

Carl was employed for many years with the state of New York, where he worked with mentally and physically challenged adults and children.  He later managed several McDonald’s restaurants and served as the Pastor for the Lake Union Evangelical Methodist Church in South Fork.

He was a member of the Martinsburg Church of God and as a minister was a member of the Churches of God, Eastern Regional Conference.  Carl volunteered as a chaplain at both UPMC Altoona and at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Altoona.

Carl loved serving his Lord and spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren.  He also enjoyed gardening, growing plants and flowers, watching SpongeBob SquarePants, singing and was a talented musician.

Friends will be received from 3 until 5pm, Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at the Martinsburg Church of God, where a funeral service will begin at 5pm, Pastor James Shaffer and Pastor Lew Button officiating.  Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.
