Patricia “Patty” L. Hicks, 70, of Williamsburg, passed away on Monday evening, April 13, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Timothy and Pauline (Kratzer) Drass. On November 24, 1979 at the Williamsburg Church of God she married her husband of over 41 years Marvin E. Hicks. He preceded her in death on December 10, 2020. She is survived by three children: Jennifer Hoffman (Alexandria Pasley) of Williamsburg, Nathan Hicks (Kelli Hammel), of Canoe Creek, and Julian Hicks (Shannon Ross), of Clappertown; seven grandchildren: Amber Hoffman, Dennis Hammel, Emily Hammel, Kevin Hammel, Elena Bryan, Oliver Pasley, and Bentley Allen; seven siblings: Carol Hanlon, of Hollidaysburg, Sister Paula Drass, of Pittsburgh, Judy Crawford and husband Raymond, of Hollidaysburg, Jackie Sciotto, of Utah, Marcy Gentry widow of Tom, of Blue Knob, Sandy White, of Hollidaysburg, and Tony Drass and wife Terry, of Hollidaysburg; numerous nieces and nephews, and a sister-in-law Renae Bingham and husband Charles, of Williamsburg.
Patricia was a 1974 graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle High School, in Altoona. She worked as a paraprofessional for the IU8 for 19 years at the Williamsburg School District, and briefly for the Foot of Ten Elementary School. Patricia enjoyed watching the wildlife around her home, especially the birds and the deer, and cared for many pets throughout the years. She was well known for her vast display of house plants, and her love of sunflowers. Patty loved being with her family, most importantly her grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at noon on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Fink & Stone Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Williamsburg, with Sister Paula Drass officiating. Private interment at Oreminea Cemetery. Those wishing may make contributions in Patricia’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
