Paul R. Fisher, 88, of New Enterprise, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025. He was born on September 13, 1937 in Bloomfield Township, Bedford County; son of the late Richard Oliver and Mildred Alrue (Kegarise) Fisher. On November 28, 1956 in Keyser, Maryland, he was united in marriage to Hazel E. (Emeigh) Fisher.
Paul, along with his wife, owned and operated a dairy farm for many years. After retirement, he worked for Rodney Metzler at Pleasant View Farms – Martinsburg. Paul was a member of the Cove Lions Club and Pennsylvania Farmers Association. He enjoyed attending auctions and was a collector of many things. Paul was a member of Christ Church – Roaring Spring.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Carrie Fisher (infant), John Fisher, and Jane Shaw. Surviving is his wife of 69 years, Hazel; children, Jeanne M. Defibaugh (Rick), Paula E. Koontz (Jeff), Richard L. Fisher (Stefanie), and Kellie J. Gates all of New Enterprise; grandchildren, Misti, Elisabeth, Allison, Matthew, RJ, Adam, and Emily; great-grandchildren, Baylee, Travis, Lane, Raylee, Ben, Graysen, and Sara; great-great-grandchildren, Rohan, Hazel, and Jonathan; and a sister, Nancy K. Fisher.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 4:00-7:00PM at the Fink & Stone Funeral Home in Woodbury and Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 10:00AM until the 11:00AM Funeral Service at the New Enterprise Church of the Brethren; Pastor Paul Snyder officiating. Interment will be in Holsinger Cemetery. If so desired, Memorial Contributions in Paul’s name may be made to the charity of your choice.
