PAUL H. GARMAN, 65 of 1255 Hickory Bottom Road, Martinsburg, PA
Beloved husband and father of two sons and four daughters died Thursday, April 26, 2012 at home, after battling cancer for 15 months.
Born in East Earl, PA on Feb 13, 1947 he was the son of the late Noah and Emma Garman. And married Sue Etta (Nolt) on Feb. 12, 1970. They celebrated their 42nd anniversary on Feb. 12. He was a dairy farmer most of his life, retiring 3 years ago.
He was a member of the Martinsburg Old Order Mennonite Church of the Groffdale Conference.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Elvin, married to Esther (Sensenig) Garman, and Vernon and special friend Louise Zimmerman, and four daughters Elsie, married to Eugene Stauffer, Lorraine, married to Michael Sensenig of Reinholds, Lucy, married to Mark Zimmerman, Frances, married to Laverne Nolt. Also eleven brothers and sisters Esther, married to Frank Hoover, Anna, married to Paul Nolt, Edwin, married to Esther, Martha, married to Amos Martin, Harry, married to Mary Ann, Allen married to Miriam, Titus, married to Lois, Ella, married to Noah Newswanger, Mary, married to Irvin Horst, Erma, married to Harold Martin, and Leroy, married to Janet, and 21 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Emma Garman.
Friends received 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm Sunday, April 29th at his home. Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 April 30 at the Martinsburg Old Order Mennonite Church, by Bishop Irvin Zimmerman, Mervin Martin, Jere Martin and Alvin Zimmerman.
